On our journey we stumbled upon the Hälsingegård Ol-Anders I Alfta by sheer accident.
The Hälsingegård is a traditional Swedish farmstead with a rich history, now a museum. It offers a chance to learn about the culture and customs of the people who lived there. The farmstead has been beautifully preserved, and feels like stepping back in time. We really loved wandering through the various buildings and admiring the intricate decorations and designs.
The farmstead is also surrounded by a beautiful garden, with its serene atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the peaceful surroundings. We ended our visit in the farm cafeteria, which offered a pretty decent selection of local specialties.
